Heriot-Watt University is creating 20 professorial and associated academic posts across a range of disciplines. Building on our position as a leading research and knowledge transfer institution, as outlined in our Focus on the Future strategy, we seek research leaders and ambitious early career researchers to lead and drive research in key inter-disciplinary themes.
Significant strategic investment over the coming years, in our infrastructure and especially in research leadership, will ensure that we meet our ambitious plans for continuing growth at Heriot-Watt's international campuses in Edinburgh, Galashiels, Orkney and Dubai. All this means we are now in a unique position - with opportunities to invest in the brightest talent, coupled with a confident strategy that includes Scottish research pooling and alliances with other institutions and focus on important inter-disciplinary themes, including manufacturing, environment & climate change; energy; food & drink; infrastructure & transport; risk & modelling; and creativity, design & innovation.
